Aloha Festivals
are an annual series of free cultural celebrations observed in the state of Hawaii. It is the only statewide cultural festival in the nation.
Highlights include the presentation of the Royal Court, a ho’olaule’a in Waikiki and the Floral Parade.
The Aloha Festivals is a celebration of Hawaiian culture. It first began in 1946 as a week-long event and organizers originally called it Aloha Week.
The festivity was to be celebration of Hawaiian culture, music, dance and history.
In 1991, Aloha Week became the Aloha Festivals. The celebrations start in September and continue into mid-October of each year.
