This auction is for a nice seemingly uncommon new-with-tag Piel genuine brown leather John Deere protective apron with large front pocket. The front of the apron is embossed JOHN DEERE MOLINE, ILL. with a bounding deer. This is the first version of the John Deere trademark logo which we believe was in use from 1873–1910. The apron has an attached tag that reads as follows: PIEL TM. THE SCRATCHES AND OTHER MARKS, AS WELL AS THE TONE VARIATIONS IN THIS BAG, ARE NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ALL GENUINE LEATHER, AND IN NO WAY INDICATE DEFECTIVE MANUFACTURE. FOR PROPER CLEANING WE RECOMMEND THE LEXOL® PH BALANCED LEATHER CLEANER TO CLEAN SAFETY AND THOROUGHLY WITHOUT HARSHNESS; AND THE LEXOL® CONDITIONER AND PRESERVATIVE TO MAINTAIN AND BEAUTIFY. HAND MADE IN COLOMBIA. GENUINE LEATHER. ITEM# 8828. We believe that this apron is unisex and comes in one size. The apron measures 20 1/4" across the bottom; 28 3/4" from the bottom of the apron to the top of the chest line; 20 1/4" across the waist; and each of the waist straps measure 22" in length. The large front pocket measures 9 1/4" x 6 1/2". The apron weighs 13.2 oz. The apron has scratches, nicks, scuffs, and normal shelf-type wear (see pictures).
